Atlas in Slack
Most of what a team notices during the day never gets written down, because writing it down means stopping. Atlas in Slack puts Atlas in the channel your team already uses: staff ask it questions, report a problem in a sentence, and get answers and follow-up where they are. It only sees channels it is invited to, never direct messages.
An administrator installs it once into your organization's own Slack workspace.
Connect your workspace
- Go to Settings → Atlas AI and find the Atlas in Slack card. Click Add to Slack.
- Slack opens and asks you to choose the workspace and approve the app. Approve it.
- Back in Ready Practice, the card shows Connected. Invite Atlas to a channel in Slack the way you would invite a colleague, and it is ready.
The card includes a switch for whether patient information may appear in Slack answers. It is off by default. Turn it on only if your Slack workspace is covered by your privacy policies; with it off, Atlas answers operational questions and keeps health details in the platform.
What your team can do there
Everything the Atlas in Slack page describes: ask about the schedule, a client's balance or an open task, report a bug or a wrong price and have it tracked, and receive what Atlas notices, such as unbilled visits or a lapsing membership, in a channel you choose.
Say "connect us to Slack" in the platform and Atlas hands you the install link and checks the connection afterwards.
Next steps
- Pick the channel Atlas posts in: tell Atlas "post your reports in #front-desk" and approve the card.
- Turn on watches: task automations send what Atlas finds to that channel on a schedule.
