Personal calendar

Your organization's schedule knows your working hours. It does not know about the dentist on Thursday or the school run. Connecting your personal Google Calendar lets Ready Practice see when you are busy, and it hides those times from every booking surface, so a client cannot book a slot you were never going to be free for.

This is a personal connection: each staff member connects their own calendar, and only they can. Ready Practice reads busy and free times only, never event titles, attendees or details.

Connect your calendar

  1. Open Staff and select yourself. Below the tabs on the left is the Connected calendar card. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  2. Google opens. Choose the account and allow free/busy access. That is the only permission requested.
  3. Back on your profile, the card shows the connected account and how many busy periods it found. Slots that overlap your busy times disappear from booking from now on.
Busy times block; they do not book

A busy period on your Google calendar hides matching open slots. It does not create an appointment or a time-off entry, and it does not show anyone what you are doing.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the same card. Your open slots follow your working hours alone again.

Next steps

  • The full picture: Connect Your Personal Calendar covers what happens when the connection lapses and how sync timing works.
  • Planned absence: for a holiday or a course, use staff time off so existing bookings are handled too.
