What's New — Week of August 10
Link appointments to a client's care program — Staff can now connect an existing appointment to one of a client's active programs right from the appointment details, keeping scheduling and care plans in sync.
Guests get a branded invite when they're added to a booking — When a client adds a guest to an appointment, that guest now receives an email from your clinic with the visit details and a calendar invite (.ics) they can add to their own calendar.
Scan-to-check-in for members and walk-ins — Members can check in for appointments or open sessions by scanning a QR code, which opens the Ready Practice app directly. Walk-in guests get their own check-in page, and you can customize the welcome message and what it shows.
Message groups of clients at once with Chat Blast — Send one message to every client who matches conditions you set — like membership type, status, payer, or location — instead of messaging people one at a time. Review the full recipient list before you send.
Bring your data over with a new import tool — Drop in an export from your previous system and map each column to the right field yourself, covering clients, diagnoses, visit history, balances, and past claims. Imports can be undone afterward if something looks off.
Client account balances — Post a charge to a client's account and settle it later by card on file, invoice, or a manual method like cash or check, with a note kept on the balance.
⚡ Improved
More billing flexibility, plus a clearer view of what needs attention — Choose how each visit is billed — insurance, courtesy, or time-of-service — set a specific cash rate per billing code, search ICD-10 codes by keyword, and see prior visit codes right in the claim builder. A new billing view flags stale claims and shows outstanding balances by age.
Booked program activities now look like booked visits — When a program activity is fulfilled by booking and attending a clinic service, it now shows as a booked visit with a progress bar toward the target number of visits, instead of a generic checklist item.
Staff reschedules now show up in the app right away — When your team moves an appointment to a new time, the client's app updates immediately instead of showing the old time until the next sync.
Atlas now knows what Ready Practice can do — Ask Atlas whether the platform supports something, like insurance billing, and it now answers correctly based on what's actually shipped.
