Newsletter

A regular newsletter keeps your practice in front of leads who weren't ready to book and clients you haven't seen in a while — without anyone on your team becoming an email-marketing expert. The Newsletter tab lets you write an issue, preview it, send a test to yourself, and then send it to your whole subscriber list in one approved step. The legally required parts of marketing email — consent, opt-outs, and the unsubscribe link — are enforced automatically on every send, so you can't accidentally email someone who unsubscribed or send an issue without an unsubscribe footer.

The newsletter is marketing email only. It is completely separate from clinical or scheduling messages and never includes client health information.

Build your subscriber list

Your list lives with your account and grows from three places:

  1. Your website. The newsletter signup form (included on generated sites — see Website Builder) adds visitors to your list automatically.
  2. Your CRM. From the newsletter audience panel, enroll existing leads or clients who have opted in to marketing.
  3. Manual adds. Type an email address to add someone who asked in person.
note

Joining the list and being emailable are checked separately. Even someone on your list is only ever sent an issue if their marketing consent is valid at send time — enrollment never overrides an opt-out.

Write and send an issue

  1. Open Growth → Newsletter and write your issue: a subject line and the body. The preview shows it in the branded email shell your readers will receive.
  2. Select Send test to me. One copy arrives in your own inbox — read it on your phone, since that's where most subscribers will.
  3. When it reads well, select Approve & Send and confirm. The issue goes out to every valid subscriber, each one passing through the consent and suppression checks, with the unsubscribe footer added automatically.
  4. The audience count shown before you send tells you how many subscribers the issue will reach.
tip

A short, useful issue on a steady rhythm beats a long one occasionally. One insight, one update from the practice, one call to action is a complete issue.

warning

Newsletter sends count toward your plan's monthly marketing-email volume — the tab shows your current tier and usage before you send a large issue. Test sends to yourself are never counted.

Ask Atlas

Ask Atlas to draft an issue for you — for example, "draft a newsletter about our new physical therapy packages" — then paste it in, adjust the voice, and test-send.

Next steps

  • To get subscribers automatically: publish a site with the signup form via the Website Builder.
  • To message clients about appointments or care (not marketing): use Chat & Messaging — clinical communication never goes through the newsletter.
